Defensive end Greg Dustin Tokarski Youth Jersey Hardy, who remains unsigned in free agency, denied Monday during a one-on-one interview with ESPN's Adam Schefter that he has ever hit a woman.Hardy was discussing the 2014 incident involving former girlfriend Nicole Holder in Charlotte, North Carolina, when he was a member of the Carolina Panthers, and denied he had ever hit her."I've never put my hand on any woman," Hardy said."In my whole entire life, no sir," he said, adding that he was raised never to hit a woman and that violence against his siblings -- brother or sister -- wasn't tolerated. After his comments were aired on ESPN, Hardy was called out by former Panthers teammate Steve Smith Sr. on Twitter. The receiver, now with the Baltimore Ravens, tweeted an excerpt of Hardy's interview and said he is an advocate against domestic violence. In 2014, he talked about the abusive relationships his mother was in when he was a child. The re-signing of Kyle Love gives the Carolina Panthers the four-man rotation at defensive tackle they were looking to secure going into the NFL draft.http://www.officialpenguinsonlinestore.com/Womens_Youth_Chris_Kunitz_Jersey That doesn't mean they won't select a tackle in the first or second round.General manager Dave Gettleman has said repeatedly this is a good year for defensive tackles. He took Star Lotulelei in the first round and Kawann Short in the second when he said that prior to the 2013 draft. They are solidified as the starters in 2016, with Short and Paul Soliai the backups. But in all likelihood Gettleman will draft a tackle at some point in the April 28-30 selection process to upgrade the overall rotation and provide insurance in case money becomes an issue in long-term deals with Lotulelei and Short.A look at the current rotation will help explain why:Kyle Love -- The 29-year-old signed only a one-year deal and is no better than a backup. There are no guarantees he will make the roster if the Panthers select a tackle in the first two rounds. Those players typically are expected to perform immediately.http://www.officialavalanchestore.com/Womens_Youth_Nicolas_Meloche_Jersey Paul Soliai -- He's 32 and admitted when he signed a two-year deal worth $7 million that this could be his last deal. He didn't entirely rule out that this season could be his last. The deal is front-loaded with $4 million counted toward 2016. Like Short, Soliai is considered a backup in the rotation, although the mere size of his deal suggests he's not in danger of being cut.Star Lotulelei -- Gettleman said at the owners meetings he will use the fifth-year tag on Lotulelei. That locks him up through the 2017 season. But if his performance continues to improve the Panthers will be looking at a long-term deal in excess of $10 million a year. They also want to lock up Short to a long-term deal before his rookie deal expires after this season. That probably will cost in excess of $15 million a year.Kawann Short -- As mentioned, the 2105 Pro Bowl selection is due a huge pay raise after leading Carolina in sacks (11) and making the Pro Bowl. Gettleman has made it clear he wants to sign Short to a long-term deal. He hasn't said that about Lotulelei, so it would benefit Carolina to have a young tackle ready to replace Lotulelei if money becomes a factor or the foot injury that hampered him before the start of the 2015 season returns.http://www.officiallightningstore.com/Womens_Youth_Brian_Boyle_Jersey All this said, the retention of Love gives Carolina a solid rotation and lessens the pressure of having to take a tackle in the draft should the board not fall Gettleman's way.
